Das Magazin Cigar Journal zeichnet die El Pulpo The Eel als «Best New Cigar of the Year 2025» aus. In der Würdigung schreibt das Magazin über die Lancero-Zigarre: «This «eel» is robust, well-balanced, and well-constructed. Leather, cedar, and coffee beans constitute the triad; in addition, a raisin sweetness and bread aromas. Towards the end, it gets stronger, with cocoa and pepper notes. Selected through blind tastings, rigorous evaluation and countless smoked samples — this is the cigar that defined 2025».
Die El-Pulpo-Zigarren gleiten seit 2023 durch die Genussmeere. Die Marke gehört zum Label Artesano del Tabaco der Brüder Billy und Gus Fakih. Der El-Pulpo-Blend kombiniert ein dunkles San-Andres-Deckblatt aus Mexiko und Einlage-Tabake aus Nicaragua und entwickelt einen ebenso kräftigen wie komplexen Geschmack mit Süsse, Spicyness und einem dunklen Aromenprofil. Hersteller der Zigarren ist A.J. Fernandez aus Nicaragua.
